Dial design

It may be apparent that we are concerned with parts of the watch that you don’t see by now, however, we recognize that you’ll be looking at the dial more frequently than under the hood.

As watch freaks, a clean, legible, precise, well made dial with “burn your eyes out” luminosity in the dark was of utmost importance to be very clearly legible day, night, or underwater. What do you do when you need all that? You turn to the experts who manufacture dials for some of the legends in the industry, with some of those watches costing tens of thousands of dollars.

Hour markers are raised, filled with generous amounts of industry leading, brightest, C3 Super-LumiNova lume for visibility in the movie theater or 50 feet under. The date window at 4:30 does not obstruct any of the hour markers and larger indices and hands have so much luminous material, you can wear your watch all day and count on it telling you the time, clearly, while it resides on your night stand at 3AM.

Movement

Our diver is equipped with a Miyota 9015, automatic mechanical movement. This is a modern movement engineered for accuracy, power reserve, thin profile, and serviceability. It requires no battery or winding if the watch is worn every day. Compared to many movements on the market today like the Swiss 2824, the 9015 is far more modern and has very few issues out in the field. We have been testing our prototypes in the field for 2 years, and have experienced no movement issues whatsoever. It is a well finished, robust movement with 24 jewels, beating at a rate of 28.8k times per hour, and 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
